Over her 12+ years in Congress, Suzan DelBene has supported packages like the 2021 Build Back Better bill, which raised taxes on the wealthy but offered little direct relief for middle-class families in high-cost areas like ours.

I believe we need real, permanent tax reform:

No federal income tax for those earning $61,000 or less
Simplified tax forms for everyone
Closing loopholes for multinational corporations

Middle income families in Washington deserve to keep more of what they earn without needing an accountant to understand the tax code.

A few words on the recent Microsoft job cuts. Back in the old days, as they say, if you spoke out against a major employer, people would warn you,“Be careful this is a company town.” Well, Washington today is essentially a company state. So those people making about 29.33 an hour and under. Would pay zero federal income tax . And would not be required to file a tax return every year. I feel there has been a big whole in the debate on gun control policy. I feel that the focus has been on laws that will do nothing. To protect people from the daily street crime that is happening. They has never been a focus on stolen handguns. And on preventing guns from getting stolen. As you know. Home invasions and car break ins happen every day.
