Kincaid Announces 2028 Run for Congress in Washington’s 9th District

I am running for Congress in Washington's 9th District in 2028. This year I ran in the 1st District. I did not make the top two. Thank you to everyone who voted for me. I am still working through the results. They were not what I expected. So what happened? Local news barely covered the 1st District race before the primary. Other races got real reporting. The 3rd District got a lot of it. Voters there had information to work with. Voters in the 1st District did not. The Seattle Times endorsed Suzan DelBene. An endorsement is not reporting. The Everett Daily Herald did the kind of reporting voters need. It provided the voters information on all the candidates in the election. The kind of information voters needed to make an informed decision. Unfortunately not everyone in the 1st District reads the Herald. Light coverage helps incumbents. Suzan DelBene has held this seat since 2012. The lack of real reporting before the primary kept her there. The lack of real reporting before t...

Kincaid’s statement on Microsoft job cuts

A Few Words on the Recent Microsoft Job Cuts Let me be clear. I am not attacking Microsoft. And I am not looking to start a fight with them. But I do think some of their decisions deserve a closer look. Stock Buybacks vs. Real Investment Over the past ten years. Microsoft has spent roughly $170 billion on stock buybacks. That practice is not unusual among large corporations. But it raises a fair question. Instead of artificially inflating its own share price. Could some of that money have been put to better use? Invested in people, innovation and in the communities that made Microsoft what it is today? Re-examining the H-1B Visa Program We should also take a hard look at the H-1B visa program. Companies claim that America simply does not have enough skilled workers to fill key roles. Others argue that we do but that many companies prefer hiring from overseas. Because H-1B workers often accept lower wages. The data supports this. Most H-1B workers are paid less than thei...

Kincaid’s Statement on Antisemitic Attack Against Jewish Student in Seattle

What happened to a 15 year old Jewish girl at Nathan Hale High School in Seattle is not just deeply disturbing. It is a case study in how antisemitism spreads when institutions fail to confront it. And in how that failure left unchecked. Produces something genuinely terrifying. This is racism. This is hate. This is evil. And the response from the school system made it worse. I call upon the Mayor of Seattle, Governor of Washington,  State Attorney General. All city, state and federal representatives to condemn this attack without hesitation. I urge them to fully investigate every student and staff member involved and to offer their unwavering support to the victim and her family. The people of Seattle and the entire state of Washington should be horrified that this happened. We should be embarrassed. We should be ashamed. There is an infection of evil spreading in our country. This case is one of the most chilling symptoms. I fear what the students who committed this act may ...
